With daylight savings time coming up this Sunday, we fully expect to be getting less sleep. But that doesn’t mean it has to show on our faces. We spoke with Chicago makeup maven Pamela Jameson to learn how to become a master of undereye disguise. Here are her tips on keeping dark circles on the down low as we start seeing more hours of daylight and less time in bed (finally).

Step 1: Prep under eye area with a light eye cream that’s not too greasy (we like My Weightless Eye Cream). Pat in cream using ring finger so as not to tug or pull the delicate under eye area. Blot away any excess cream with a sponge and let set for one minute.

Step 2: Next use a color corrector (like this one from Physician’s Formula) to conceal discoloration. To neutralize bluish circles use a peach corrector, for violet circles use yellow. Apply the corrector with a concealer brush and pat in with your ring finger along lash line, under your eyes and in the inner corner of the eyes for a uniform look.

Step 3: Select a creamy concealer that is 1 to 2 shades lighter than your overall complexion or foundation color. Apply the concealer on top of the color corrector with a concealer brush and pat with your ring finger.

Step 4: Finish by sweeping on an HD or translucent powder (we love this one by Kett) with an eye shadow brush and look wide awake!
